Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), Udaipur organised an enthralling SPIC MACAY Bharatanatyam performance on April 24, 2026. The programme featured eminent Bharatanatyam artist Shri Samrat Dutta, along with co-artists Shri. Sreerag, Smt. Mohana Iyer, and Shri. Vignesh Jayaraman. Samrat Dutta, a disciple of Padma Bhushan Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar, is a widely acclaimed Bharatanatyam performer, mentor, and choreographer.

The Honourable President, Dr. Sanjay Sinha, and Pro President, Prof. (Dr.) Prasun Chakrabarti, felicitated the artists. Dr. Sanjay Sinha in his address emphasized on the importance of preserving Indian cultural heritage and encouraged students to actively engage with classical art forms to develop a deeper understanding of tradition, discipline, and creativity.
The performance beautifully showcased the essence of Bharatanatyam with its intricate footwork, nuanced abhinaya, and perfectly synchronised rhythms, blending storytelling and expression with grace. The co-artists complemented the presentation with finesse, creating a seamless and engaging cultural experience for the audience. The performance concluded with the soulful rendition of Vande Mantram.
It was also proudly shared that SPSU volunteers will be participating in the 11th International Convention of SPIC MACAY at IIT Kharagpur. The programme witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and entire SPSU fraternity. The event was coordinated by Prof. D.S. Chouhan, Spic Macay Coordinator and Dy. Dean Student Welfare.
